Archival materials
There are a range of published and unpublished documents, images and books kept in the Local History Archive at Cranbourne Library. These items record the history of the entire Casey Cardinia region, including past councils, people, places, organisations and groups. Historic Rate and Minute Books
Connected Libraries offers patrons access to the rate and minute book records generated by the former Shires of Cranbourne, Berwick and Pakenham. This was a project between the Cardinia Shire, the City of Casey and Connected Libraries.
Rates available are:
Berwick Shire Rates: 1875 to 1965
Cranbourne Shire Rates: 1863 to 1950
Historic Newspapers
There are a number of local newspapers that cover our local area which have been in publication for many years.

Outreach Presentations
Our Local History Librarian offers free presentations on general, local and/or family history topics of your choice to local schools, community groups and organisations.
The presentations include images from our archives and are tailored to be suitable for all ages.
