Cranbourne Library is part of the Casey Indoor Leisure Complex. It is the second busiest library in the CL network with more than 200,000 visits every year.

It hosts the Local History Archive and the Narre Warren & District Family History Group.

Cranbourne Library first opened in a building in Sladen Street, next door to the old Council Offices, on 25 November 1978.

It opened at its current location on 19 June 1996.

Cranbourne Library is proud to have launched Access Keys on the Access Ability Australia web site. Access Keys provide visitors with increased confidence to attend new experiences by providing customised accessibility guides that empower individuals with improved information, promoting awareness and inclusiveness whilst supporting equality. Public Computer accessibility features in Windows 10 include:
  • Narrator: a computer screen reading app that assists in screen navigation and image description
  • Magnifier: A feature of Windows 10, Magnifier enlarges words and images on a computer screen Use Magnifier to make things on the screen easier to see
  • On Screen Keyboard: can be activated for use via a mouse or a touch screen computer.
  • Big Blu Kinder keyboards for young people available
  • Big Blu vision boards available
