The Big Summer Read is back for another year! Join the fun, we want Casey kids to keep reading over Summer.

How it works
The Big Summer Read Challenge runs from Sunday 1 December 2024 to Friday 31 January 2025.

The aim of the challenge is for children to read and log as many books as they can over Summer.

Children will need to read and log a minimum of 10 books between these dates to be eligible for the Connected Libraries and Statewide prize draws.

Children who record their reading online through this website will be eligible for the Statewide prize draws.

Connected Libraries Prize Draw
Grand Prize:
1x Nintendo Switch
(1 x Nintendo Switch Drawn randomly from all paper-based entries submitted in all Connected Libraries Branches combined).

Minor Prizes:
1x $50 Book Voucher for each library
(6x drawn randomly from the entries submitted, there will be one winner from each of our libraries, 6 winners in total).

How to enter the Connected Libraries Prize Draw
Paper entry forms can be collected and returned at your local CL Library for entry in the local prize draw.

Statewide Prize Draw
0-4 years : Board books
5-8 years: Picture books
8-12 years: Junior fiction/graphic novels
Ages 12-18 years: YA fiction/graphic novels

How to enter the Statewide Prize Draw
Children who log and read using this website will automatically go into the Statewide Prize Draw.

Wrap Up Party
Come celebrate the end of the Big Summer Read with a special celebration on Saturday 15 February 2025 at Bunjil Place Library. This is where the prize winners will be announced!
