Our collections include materials in Chinese, Sinhalese, Persian (Dari & Farsi) and Panjabi. Other languages are available in our bilingual storybook collection, and there are magazine collections in Italian, French, Hindi, Malayalam, Gurajarati, Tamil.
We now have e-books available in community languages through Libby/Overdrive!
E-books are available to borrow in these popular community languages: Punjabi, Sinhalese, Persian, Chinese, Hindi, Tamil, Filipino/Tagalog, Malayalam, Arabic, Spanish and Urdu. We are actively working with Libby to increase the range of languages available.

In addition, home language resource kits for children, families and educators are available from Cranbourne library.
If you cannot find something in your language, you can request an inter-library loan or ask us for help.

You can also read newspapers in 60+ native languages via PressReader, or watch films on Kanopy in other languages.

You can download readers designed to help children enjoy reading in many languages from RUMACCC here or read African storybooks here.

You can practice your English conversation skills in conversation classes held in our libraries.
In our digital library
Your library card gives you access to the Road to IELTS online resource, which can help you prepare for your International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
With your library card, you can also access World Wide English and Living in Australia resources, available through AMES Australia.
For those learning another language we offer many resources in our Language & Literature sections in our libraries. These include books with audio discs to help you learn.
